Actually, it can sometimes be overwhelming and downright exhausting!
You are doing a lot of things well and starting to understand more about the world of dance, but….
You are not entirely sure if the things you are doing are in the best interest of your dancer.
Your dance teacher is great but you sometimes wonder if this is how it all really works in the dance world outside of your studio!

The Navigating Dance Parent Summit has been put together by a parent to specifically address the concerns and needs of the people who support and care for their dancers.
20 experts in dance and other areas will teach you actionable strategies to guide you on your journey as a parent of a dancer.
The summit will not only help you make informed decisions about what is best for your dancer, but you will also learn about budgeting, organization, and even self-care and creative skills for yourself.
Learn to navigate the dance world with confidence and sanity!

Hi! I’m Samantha, owner and creator of the websites Dance Parent 101 and Move Dance Learn.
From the age of four I danced recreationally and then competitively. After a year of studying college dance and drama, I transferred to a privately operated pre-professional school training 6 days a week earning a scholarship and diploma in dance.
I taught dance, danced professionally, and then I just stopped… (a whole other story that includes backpacking through Europe and working the Canadian Ski Fields for three years) Eventually I returned to university to attain a Bachelor of Education and taught in junior and primary schools.
Today I am a wife and mother to four young kids aged 4-12, two of whom dance. With soccer practice, swim lessons, gymnastics training etc.. on top of all our dance commitments I am lucky to have my prior dance experience to help me navigate it all!
I created this Summit to help you navigate your way through your busy life as well as the dance world, so you can stress less, enjoy the journey and support your dancer with confidence!

There are plenty of Dance Summits, Intensives, Workshops, and dance Camps out there.
So what makes this one different?

This summit is all online! You don’t need to find a babysitter, or make travel arrangements or even get out of your pajamas!

This summit was developed by a parent for parents! Your interests are at the top of the list, not your studios or convention providers!

Dance Parent 101 is an authority in providing well-researched, up-to-date, knowledgeable information for parents.
We’re not here to add more to your plate. Our goal isn’t to or add things to your to-do list, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and like there’s no way you can do enough.
Instead, we’re here to take what you’re already doing for your dancer to help you optimize that!
“Hello Samantha, I am so happy to have this opportunity to be able to THANK YOU personally. Attempting to “have it all together” when you really are not sure what to do is truly difficult. Finding your website recently was like a gift – seriously!! There are no resources to “help” moms, as you have created and you may never know what you are doing for so many.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!”
